Janet Morrow

Chief Science Officer & Co-Founder at Ferric Contrast

Janet Morrow is the Chief Science Officer and Co-Founder at Ferric Contrast. Janet was previously a Graduate Student Researcher at University at Buffalo from July 2012 to January 2018. There, they worked on synthesizing, purifying, and analyzing ligands and transition metal complexes studied for paramagnetic properties. Janet also helped draft and participate in the formulation of publications and presented research at local and national meetings. As laboratory safety liaison, they were responsible with maintaining good laboratory practice (GLP) and instructed new lab members of responsible safety protocol. Janet helped train seven incoming graduate students, and three undergraduate students, on laboratory practice and protocol. Supervised undergraduates in conducting experiments to bolster breadth of knowledge regarding chemical synthesis, and aided undergraduates in their own research projects.

Janet Morrow has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medicinal Chemistry from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chemistry with a Pre-Med Concentration from the College of the Holy Cross.
