Simon Bjerregaard

Simon Bjerregaard is a seasoned drug delivery expert currently serving as a Principal Scientist and Lead Scientist at Ferring Pharmaceuticals since August 2018, focusing on long-acting injectables and alternative drug delivery methods for biologics and peptides. Bjerregaard previously worked as a Senior CMC Consultant at KLIFO A/S and held multiple roles at Novo Nordisk, culminating as a Principal Research Scientist, where significant contributions included formulation leadership for semaglutide/SNAC and pioneering spray drying capabilities for inhalable insulin products. Bjerregaard began a research career at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, and holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy, with prior education in nasal drug delivery.
