Mattea Smith

Mattea Smith, GIT, is a Well Permitting Specialist at Fervo Energy since March 2024. Previously, Mattea served as a Regulatory Analyst at Boomtown Oil, managing compliance with various regulatory policies for over 75 active wells. Experience includes roles as an Assistant Research Scientist and Lab Safety Manager at the University of Wyoming, where Mattea oversaw research teams and ensured environmental compliance in multiple labs. Mattea also worked as an Environmental Technician at KC Harvey Environmental, LLC, conducting inspections and maintenance for numerous oil and gas sites. Early career experiences include teaching and support roles in educational settings, alongside customer service positions at Walmart. Mattea holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
