Ronen Almog, Ph.D.

Ronen Almog, Ph.D., has extensive experience in data science, research, and leadership roles. Ronen currently serves as the Head of Research at Meteo-Logic since October 2022. Prior to this, they were the Data Science Group Manager at SKF Group from February 2021 to October 2022, where they led data science teams and developed AI/ML models for predictive maintenance. From August 2018 to 2021, Ronen worked as the Director of Data Science and AI in the CTO group at eToro, where they managed and led the data science group and developed models for trading and marketing departments using cloud services. Before that, they served as a Senior Data Scientist and AI Innovation Lead at Bank Hapoalim from January 2017 to August 2018.

Ronen also has experience as a Data Scientist and Quantitative Researcher at WorldQuant LLC, where they worked from 2014 to 2016. Ronen started their career as an R&D Physicist at Micron Technology from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Ronen worked as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Tel Aviv University from 2007 to 2009, leading the development of a novel electro-optical whole-cell biosensor for water toxicity detection.

Before that, they served as the MEMS Group Leader at GalayOr from 1999 to 2002, where they led the R&D of an optical networks switch based on MEMS and integrated optics. Ronen Almog's work experience showcases their expertise in data science, research, leadership, and innovation in multiple industries.

Ronen Almog, Ph.D. pursued their higher education starting with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics and Mathematics from Tel Aviv University, which they obtained between the years 1989 and 1992. Following this, they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University, which they completed between 1998 and 2000. Ronen then furthered their education by earning a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, completing their doctoral studies between 2002 and 2007.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Ronen Almog has obtained the certification of Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2021.
