Jeanine Avjean has extensive work experience in the field of education and customer success. Jeanine currently works at FEV Tutor as a Sr. Manager, Customer Success, where they have been since December 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Manager, Customer Success at the same company from December 2020 to December 2021. Before joining FEV Tutor, Jeanine worked as an Academic Success Coach at the company from July 2020 to December 2020.
Jeanine also has experience working at Achievement First as an Academic Dean from June 2015 to July 2020. In this role, they provided direct coaching to teachers on content pedagogy and classroom management. Jeanine also facilitated weekly lesson preparation meetings and analyzed quiz data to identify gaps in student understanding, resulting in improved performance.
Jeanine's career in education began at Teach For America in June 2015, where they served as a Lead Teacher. Jeanine achieved significant success in improving student reading levels and was later promoted to 2nd Grade Math Specialist. During their time at Teach For America, they implemented a Common Core aligned math curriculum and contributed to high scores on the end-of-year MAP assessment.
Earlier in their career, Jeanine gained experience through an internship at Google for Education, Global Initiatives and Enablement in June 2014. In this role, they developed a survey template and managed the population of educator profiles in the Google for EDU Directory.

Jeanine Avjean completed their Bachelor of Arts in Education at Brown University from 2011 to 2015. Jeanine then studied abroad at the University of Havana in 2014 and 2015, focusing on Cultural Anthropology. Jeanine further pursued their education at Brown University, obtaining a Master of Arts in Urban Education Policy from 2016 to 2018.
