Tanya Hoshi has a diverse work experience spanning a range of roles and industries. Tanya started their career as a Sub Lieutenant in the Canadian Forces, providing training to Canadian youth and demonstrating strong leadership and management skills. Tanya then transitioned into the film and media industry, working as a Production Coordinator and Researcher for Mercury Films and Blue Ice Pictures, where they coordinated multi-country productions and contributed to the development of content. Tanya also served as the Director of Programming for T.O. Webfest, where they developed a successful programming strategy and secured a prominent venue for the festival. In their most recent role at Shopify, they held various positions, including Lead Producer, Creative and Storytelling Lead, and Senior Producer, overseeing video production and leading a team. Tanya also played a key role in developing casting processes and reducing advertising costs. Tanya has also worked as the Chief Social Media Officer for FEZANA, where they created and executed social media strategies, increased engagement, and produced digital events. Tanya currently holds the position of Head of Brand Marketing at Ownr and RBCx, leading the development and execution of brand strategies for both companies.

Tanya Hoshi has a Bachelor of Arts - Honours degree in Cinema Studies and Sociology from the University of Toronto. Tanya also holds a Certificate in Advanced Television and Film from Sheridan College. In addition to their formal education, Tanya has obtained various certifications in areas such as building a business case, brand strategy, storytelling, marketing, experimentation, and personal finance. Tanya obtained these certifications from institutions such as Section4, IDEO U, LinkedIn, Reforge, Hootsuite, McGill University, and Yale University.
