Alexander Reiterer has extensive experience in research and development evaluation, serving as the Deputy Head of General Programmes at the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) since April 2001, where responsibilities include leading the technical evaluation team and assessing R&D proposals in Physics, Materials Science, and Medical Engineering. Additional positions include Evaluator for the Autonome Provinz Bozen - Südtirol and the Wiener Wirtschaftsagentur from 2003 to 2019, and Evaluator for both the Seventh and Sixth Framework Programmes in European R&D calls. Earlier, Alexander served as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Physics and Materials Science at the University of Applied Natural Sciences Vienna. Academically, Alexander Reiterer holds a Dr. nat. techn. in Materials Science and a Dipl.-Ing. in Technical Physics, both from Technische Universität Wien.
