Anthony Arenas

Youth Representative at FFLAG

Anthony Arenas is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in organizing and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and social justice issues. Currently serving as a Virtual Action Organizer at Dignity and Power Now since November 2021, Anthony has also held the position of Youth Representative at PFLAG National/Straight for Equality since December 2014, actively participating in support groups for the Spanish-speaking community. Involvement with the Resistance Squad has included organizing and training volunteers for local political change initiatives, while participation in Justice LA focuses on advocacy for families affected by the carceral system. Anthony has a background in tutoring and has held various roles in food service and transportation during earlier employment. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Latin American Studies, Anthony has also studied at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
