Jennifer Villena-Johnson has extensive work experience in the architectural field, spanning over 30 years. Jennifer began their career as an Architect Technician at HDR in 1988 and later worked at The Architectural Partnership as an Architect Intern. Jennifer then joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Teaching Assistant in 1991.

In 1993, they joined Hundreiser Gutowsky as an Architect, where they focused on creating, printing, and modifying drawings in Autocad for construction documents. Jennifer also engaged in space and furniture planning and consulted with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements.

Jennifer then joined Cordogan Clark & Associates in 1995 as a Project Manager/Project Architect. In this role, they managed and led a multi-disciplinary team throughout development and contract document phases. Jennifer also consulted with clients on functional and spatial requirements and devised strategies for documentation.

In 2015, Jennifer worked as a Contract Employee at DL Rawlings Inc., where they continued to consult with clients on functional and spatial requirements, developed Autocad drawings, and completed code evaluations.

Jennifer later joined Bancroft Architects + Engineers in 2015 as a Contract Employee, and then transitioned to a Project Architect role. At Bancroft, Jennifer managed and led a multi-disciplinary team, developed and prepared drawings and specifications from programming through construction, and actively participated in construction administration.

Most recently, Jennifer started working at FGM Architects in 2023 as a Project Architect. The details of their role at FGM Architects are not provided.

Throughout their career, Jennifer has consistently demonstrated their expertise in architectural design and project management, as well as their ability to collaborate with clients and lead teams.

Jennifer Villena-Johnson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1988. Jennifer then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Architecture at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing it in 1992.

In terms of additional certifications, they became a Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois in 1994. Additionally, they obtained the LEED Accredited Professional certification from the USGBC in 2009.
