Marius Geanta, MD, is a prominent figure in the field of medicine, currently serving as President and Co-Founder of the Centre for Innovation in Medicine since May 2014. In addition, Marius holds the position of Medical Director at McCann Health Brain & Heart and leads the Working Group on Education and Curricula for the International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed). Active in addressing health disparities, Marius serves on the Steering Committee of the Inequalities Network at the European Cancer Organisation and is Co-Chair of the Scientific and Public Health Advisory Group at FH Europe. Marius is also a Visiting Professor at Bucharest University, focusing on Public Relations for the Health System, and has held various leadership roles, including General Manager of KOL Medical Media and Chief Editor of Hipocrate Journal. Furthermore, Marius represents Romania in the 1+Million Genomes Member States Group and contributes to the National Task Force Romania for the Public Health Genomics Network Europe.

The European FH Patient Network in an umbrella organization of international patient networks, actively working together to secure early identification and diagnosis of Famillial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) and other inherited lipid conditions, incl rare forms, to prevent early cardiovascular disease (CVD). Charity Registration number: 1170731 Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) is an inherited condition that leads to levels of cholesterol that are higher than that of the general population, sometimes double or even three or four times. FH affects around 1 in 250 people – but the prevalence may vary across Europe. FH is a genetic condition caused by a ‘spelling mistake’ in our DNA – the genetic material with all the instructions needed to ‘build’ humans.
