Joy Cunningham

Director, Research Utilization

Joy Cunningham is an accomplished public health professional with over 20 years of experience in developing and leading programs that bridge the gap between evidence and practice. They have held various leadership roles at FHI 360, including Acting Director and Director of Research Utilization, where they managed global teams and implemented sexual and reproductive health programs. Additionally, Joy served as the Executive Director of Rape Crisis of Durham and was a founding co-executive director of the Durham Crisis Response Center, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting survivors of sexual violence. Currently, Joy is pursuing a Master of Public Health at the University of Illinois Chicago and holds a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University.
