Kristen Ahlfeld, PP, AICP

Kristen Ahlfeld has over 20 years of experience in transportation and environmental planning. Kristen has been working at Fitzgerald & Halliday, Inc. since 2003, where they are currently the Director of Projects, Associate. In this role, they manage and works on various transportation and environmental planning projects across New Jersey, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Northeast. Kristen's main focus is public outreach, providing innovative and inclusive engagement strategies for state, regional, and municipal projects. Kristen also assists with technical writing for environmental documents. Prior to joining Fitzgerald & Halliday, Inc., Kristen worked as a Transportation Planner at Parsons from 2001 to 2003. Kristen also worked at Patton Harris Rust & Associates as a Planner from 1999 to 2001, and at TransCore/SAIC as a Transportation Planner from 1997 to 1999.

Kristen Ahlfeld, PP, AICP, holds a Master of Community Planning (MCP) degree from the University of Rhode Island, which they obtained from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marine Affairs at the same university from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their educational background, Kristen Ahlfeld has obtained several certifications. In 1999, they earned the prestigious American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification through the American Planning Association. Kristen also holds the NJ Professional Planner certification, which they received from the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs in May 2013.
