Ailed Paningbatan-Swan was born in the Philippines and raised in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood. Ailed studied Sociology with a minor in Education at UC Berkeley, and has worked in both the nonprofit and corporate worlds as a Training Manager, MYEEP Coordinator for OMI, and most recently as Director of Community Engagement at Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center.
