Rene Schakmann

Rene Schakmann is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and IT infrastructure. Currently serving as CIO at epitome GmbH since September 2021, Rene oversees internal IT operations for over 180 employees within a certified environment. Previous roles include Head of Technology at viesure innovation center GmbH, where Rene led teams in developing next-generation products for Austria's largest insurance company, and Lektor positions at FHWien der WKW, specializing in Cloud Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture. Rene's career also features roles as Leiter Development Competence Center at twinformatics GmbH, Solution Architect at willhaben internet service GmbH & Co KG, and Senior Developer at the DiamondDogs Group, among others. Rene holds multiple Master of Science degrees in Software Engineering and Wirtschaftsinformatik from Technische Universität Wien.
