Jason Sorensen

Jason Sorensen has a diverse work experience, starting with their position as a Staff Data Engineer at Fi since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Spotify from December 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Spotify, Jason held multiple roles at SparkPost. Jason served as the Lead Data Engineer from April 2021 to December 2021, during which they also took on the responsibilities of a Technical Manager, leading the Data Engineering team and managing projects from April 2019 to April 2021. From July 2016 to April 2019, Jason worked as a Lead Data Scientist at SparkPost. Jason also served as a Lead Application Engineer from February 2014 to July 2016.

Jason's earlier experience includes working as a Global Network Exploitation Vulnerability Analyst at the National Security Agency from September 2006 to February 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota from September 2004 to August 2006.

Jason Sorensen completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Minnesota from 2000 to 2004. Jason then pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics from the same university, which they completed from 2004 to 2006. Later, in 2008 to 2009, they obtained another Master's degree, this time in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.
