Jaime-Albizu Lamboy-Riley has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal and sports industries. Jaime-Albizu'smost recent position is as Head of Legal Affairs at FIBA since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Law Professor at Escuela de Derecho, UNIVERSIDAD INTERAMERICANA DE PUERTO RICO from August 2014 to September 2020. Jaime-Albizu also served as the Director of the High Performance Department at Comité Olímpico de Puerto Rico from April 2013 to September 2020. In addition, Lamboy-Riley held the role of Legal Commission President at Fédération Internationale de Volleyball - FIVB from September 2007 to September 2020. Jaime-Albizu has also worked as a Private Practice Attorney since January 2001. Notably, they have served in various roles at Federación Puertorriqueña de Fútbol, Federación de Baloncesto de Puerto Rico, and Federación Puertorriqueña de Voleibol, including legal advisor, director of operations, vice president, national teams director, and mens professional league director.
Jaime-Albizu Lamboy-Riley completed their education in a chronological order. They started by pursuing a Bachelor's degree (Bachillerato) in Public Communications (Publicidad / Advertising) from Universidad de Puerto Rico, which they successfully attained in 1996. Next, from 1996 to 2000, they attended the same institution, Universidad de Puerto Rico, to pursue a Juris Doctor degree in Law, which they completed. Lastly, between 2010 and 2012, Jaime-Albizu Lamboy-Riley attended Instituto Nacional de Educación Fisica de Cataluña (INEFC) to acquire a Master's degree in Sports Law.
