Javier Deshayes

Javier Deshayes, MBA, has over a decade of experience at FIBA, starting as an intern and progressing to Senior Manager of NF & Sport, a position achieved in January 2022. In this role, Javier oversees a team and delegates tasks to manage various projects, having previously served as Manager and Senior Associate, where responsibilities included representing FIBA at international forums and implementing an online platform for International Transfers. As an Advisory Board Member for FIBA TIME-OUT, Javier contributes to initiatives supporting the transition of basketball players into the labor market. Javier's educational background includes a Master of Science in International Sport Management from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Sciences from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
