Carlos Zurita

Carlos Zurita has a strong background in mechanical engineering with experience in various companies. Carlos is currently working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Fibertek Inc. since January 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Mechanical Engineer IV at Manufacturing Techniques, Inc. (MTEQ) from July 2019 to January 2021.

Before MTEQ, Carlos worked at HunterLab as a Senior Mechanical Engineer II from January 2018 to July 2019, and as a Mechanical Design Engineer from August 2013 to January 2018.

Carlos also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Jacobs Technology, Advanced Systems Group from November 2010 to July 2013, where they designed various brackets/fixtures and updated engineering drawings.

Carlos started their career as a Systems Engineer at Aeronautical Systems, Inc from March 2010 to November 2010.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing from July 2008 to March 2010, where they designed and tested fixtures for security inspection systems using software such as Solidworks and LABView.

Carlos's work experience began with a role as an Undergraduate Researcher at Virginia Tech from September 2007 to April 2008.

Carlos Zurita completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In April 2008, they also obtained the Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. In 2011, Carlos pursued graduate coursework in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, and their studies in this program are ongoing.
