Lars Thyroff

Lars Thyroff has extensive experience in the wireless and IoT industry. Lars started their career in 1995 as a Marketing and Sales Manager at Spoerle Electronic. Lars then joined Siemens in 1997, where they held various roles including Corporate Commodity Manager, General Manager of Global Procurement, and Vice President of Product and Portfolio Management for Wireless Modules. In 2008, Lars became the CMO and EVP Sales EMEA at Cinterion GmbH, and later served as the VP and Global Head of Automotive Line of Business at Gemalto. In 2017, Lars founded xIOT Consulting and also became the Business Unit Head and VP of EMEA at Fibocom Wireless Inc, where they are currently responsible for providing wireless modules and IoT solutions globally.

Lars Thyroff completed their education at the University of Applied Science Frankfurt/M. from 1991 to 1995, earning a degree in Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.Ing. FH) with a focus on Ingenieurinformatik, Feinwerktechnik. In 2002-2003, they pursued an Advanced Management Training program at Babson College, as part of SIEMENS Corporate Executive Education. Additionally, in 2012-2013, they completed a Corporate Education program in Strategy Fundamentals at the Boston Consulting Group - Strategy Academy. In 2014-2015, they attended the SGMI Management Institut St. Gallen for an Executive Leadership Program specialized in Corporate Leadership.
