Amin Jula

Amin Jula has extensive work experience in the field of data science and computer science. Currently, they serve as the Chief Data Scientist at Fiddlehead Technology, a position they started in September 2021. Before that, they held the role of Senior Data Scientist and Team Lead at PETRONAS from January 2019 to January 2022.

Prior to their time at PETRONAS, Amin worked as a Senior Data Scientist and Team Lead at The Center of Applied Data Science from December 2016 to December 2018. Amin also served as a Senior Software Engineer/Data Analyst at Juris Technologies from June 2014 to November 2016.

Amin gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia from September 2015 to August 2016. Before that, they worked as a PhD Fellow in Computer Science at the same institution from September 2012 to August 2015.

Amin Jula's education history begins in 1998 when they obtained a Pre-University Diploma in Mathematics and Physics from Bagher al-Olum pre-university center. In 2000, they received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Islamic Azad University. Amin further pursued their studies and earned a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from the same university in 2007.

Amin's educational journey continued, leading him to The National University of Malaysia (UKM) from 2012 to 2016, where they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science. Their research focused on NP-hard problems, Combinatorial Optimization, Big Data, Cloud Computing.

Aside from their formal education, Amin has also obtained additional certifications. Amin completed the Practical Machine Learning and Regression Models courses through Coursera and received course certificates in 2018. Moreover, in 2016, they acquired certifications for Create Mashups with Qlik Sense, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox courses, all from Coursera as well.
