Diane Ortiz-MacLeod began their work experience in 2014 as a Baker at Butter Baked Goods Ltd, where they prepared and plated high tea goods for guests and events. In 2015, they worked as a Student Life Intern at Mount Allison University, hosting public forums and presenting recommendations for residency improvement. Diane then joined the Government of New Brunswick as a Policy analyst/Policy advisor intern in 2017, where they prepared reports supporting initiatives for working adults with disabilities. In 2018, they became a Project Coordinator at Conseil Provincial des Sociétés Culturelles, organizing an international art festival and supporting event planning. Diane also worked as a Statistics Teacher's Assistant & Tutor at Mount Allison University from 2016 to 2019, leading computer labs and supporting student success. In 2014, they founded Tease the Clouds, an art company where they upcycle vintage jewelry and sells trendy accessories. Currently, they are a Data Scientist at Fiddlehead Technology Inc., developing and integrating machine learning models for forecasting.

Diane Ortiz-MacLeod holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Philosophy, and Politics from Mount Allison University. Diane also obtained a Certification in French from Université de Moncton and participated in a Study Abroad program in International Business at Kwansei Gakuin University.
