Joe Tomko

VP Commercial Banking at Fidelity Bank

Joe Tomko has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Joe started their career as the Controller for the Borough of Dunmore from 1985 to 1989. Joe then took on the role of Vice President of Corporate Banking at First Eastern Bank from 1990 to 1993. Following this, they joined Community Bank System, Inc. as the Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking, where they managed a portfolio of over $40 million and provided commercial financing advice and funding for various needs. In 2015, Joe became a part of the Lackawanna Industrial Fund Enterprises' Executive Committee and also served as the President of the Board of Directors for the Greater Scranton YMCA. Joe then joined Fidelity Deposit and Discount Bank as the Vice President of Commercial Banking in November 2016. Joe has also been actively involved in serving on the boards of Friendship House and as a Councilman for the Borough of Dunmore.

Joe Tomko attended the University of Scranton from 1978 to 1982, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business. Sometime after that, they enrolled in the Central Atlantic School of Commercial Lending at Bucknell University to study Banking, although specific dates were not provided. Later on, they pursued Executive Management at the University of Virginia, specializing in banking through their Banking Executive Program. Again, no specific timeframe was given for this educational experience.
