Scott Nance Caia

Vice President - Impact Investing at Fidelity Charitable®

Scott Nance, CAIA, has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Scott currently holds the position of Vice President - Impact Investing at Fidelity Charitable® since September 2021. Prior to this, Scott served as an Adjunct Lecturer at The University of Arizona starting from August 2015.

In 2019, they joined CapShift as the Managing Director of Business Development. CapShift is an impact investing platform that facilitates investments in companies, funds, and nonprofits across various asset classes to address social and environmental challenges. Scott played a key role in empowering philanthropic and financial institutions and their clients to mobilize capital for social and environmental change.

From March 2016 to May 2019, Scott worked as the Head of Business Development at ImpactAssets, a leading provider of donor-advised funds in the U.S. Scott led capital raising and client service functions as a member of the management team.

In addition, Scott has also served as the Chapter Head of the CAIA San Francisco Chapter from August 2014 to February 2018 for the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) Association.

Prior to this, Scott established an independent marketing and consulting firm called West-NW Capital in 2009, which later merged with ARK Global in 2014. Scott negotiated selling agreements with five liquid alternatives funds and managed limited partnerships and separate account offerings.

During their tenure at Equinox Fund Management from 2005 to 2009, Scott led new business development to RIAs for The Frontier Fund, which became one of the top-selling public managed futures funds in the U.S.

Scott began their career at Robeco in 2002, where they sold a range of investment strategies to various clients and prospects including Fortune 100 corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and family offices. Scott was promoted to Principal with expanded sales territory coverage after nine months.

Overall, Scott Nance brings a wealth of experience in impact investing, business development, and sales in the finance industry.

Scott Nance, CAIA has an MBA in International Finance and Marketing from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Scott also holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management. In addition, Scott is a CAIA Charterholder, which they obtained in October 2011 from the CAIA Association.
