John Shewmaker

John Shewmaker is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Claims Counsel, AVP at Fidelity National Financial since August 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Law Clerk at Fidelity National Financial and Strause Law Group, PLLC. John has also gained valuable experience through various law clerk positions, including with the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in Oldham County, Kentucky, and with attorney John Kmetz. In addition to legal expertise, John is a former Committee Member of the UGA Risk Management Committee and has held positions in the hospitality and compliance sectors. John holds a Juris Doctor from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management & Insurance from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, complemented by study at Universidad de Salamanca.
