Nageeb Sumar

Nageeb Sumar is a seasoned professional in the fields of social impact and philanthropy, currently serving as the Head of Social Impact at Fidelity Investments since August 2022. Prior to this role, Sumar held various leadership positions at Fidelity Charitable as Vice President of Philanthropic Strategies from September 2018 to August 2022, and at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation from November 2009 to August 2018, where Sumar progressed from Associate Program Officer to Deputy Director of Philanthropic Partnerships. Earlier experience includes an Associate role at a law firm from September 2007 to November 2009, and a position as Community Finance Associate at Oxfam America in 2003-2004. Nageeb Sumar's academic credentials include a BA/BS in Economics and Urban & Regional Studies from Cornell University, an MSc in International Finance from Queen's University, and a BCL/LLB in Law from McGill University.
