Kate S.

Kate S. is an experienced museum professional currently serving as Exhibitions Registrar II at The Field Museum since January 2023. Prior to this role, Kate held the position of Manager - Collections at the Art Institute of Chicago, where responsibilities included negotiating loan agreements and managing logistics for acquisitions and loans across multiple curatorial departments. Previous experience also includes roles at The Field Museum as Assistant Exhibitions Registrar and at the DuSable Museum of African American History as Registrar and Collections Manager. Kate’s early career involved positions such as Collection Management Assistant at the Special Collections Research Center of the University of Chicago Library and various internships, culminating in a Master of Arts in American Material Culture from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Arts in French from Swarthmore College.
