Ken Manchen

Ken Manchen is a highly experienced professional in environmental protection, safety, and guest relations. Since May 2017, Ken has served as a Fishes/Specialist Exhibits Volunteer at Shedd Aquarium and a Guest Relations and Docent Volunteer at The Field Museum. Previously, Ken worked as an Environmental Protection Specialist for the US Environmental Protection Agency from October 2017 to January 2021, focusing on the Superfund FOIA request response group. Ken held various leadership roles over an extensive career, including Corporate Director of Safety, Health & Environmental Affairs at Premier Farnell Corp. from 1993 to 2016, and served as Past President of both the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals and the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management. Ken's academic credentials include an MBA from Cleveland State University, a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Rice University, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Ohio University.
