Paul Sambrano

Paul Sambrano is an experienced operations coordinator with a diverse background in ecotourism and education. Currently serving as the Operations Coordinator for the Andes-Amazon Team at The Field Museum since June 2021, Paul previously held roles as a travel agent at Heartland Alliance and trip leader, trip expert, and operations specialist at Backroads, where unique adventure itineraries were crafted. Paul has also worked as a freelance naturalist guide at La Selva Lodge and other ecotourism venues, leading interpretive nature walks and promoting conservation awareness. Early career experiences include roles at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden as a children's zoo keeper and conservation educator, where engaging educational programs were developed for children. Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Ecotourism from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
