Susan Neill

Exhibitions Planning Director at FIELD MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

Susan Neill serves as the Exhibitions Planning Director at The Field Museum, responsible for developing ideas and supervising the museum's outbound traveling exhibitions program. Previously, Susan held various roles at the Atlanta History Center, including Vice President of Collections & Exhibitions, where oversight of collections management and strategic planning was key. Experience also includes curatorial positions at the Chicago History Museum and the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection, as well as contributions to independent projects such as curating exhibitions and delivering presentations on costume and textiles. Education includes a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Psychology from Luther College, in addition to ongoing studies with The Attingham Trust and the American History Workshop.
