Mateo Garrido is a Food Safety Quality Assurance Specialist at Field Roast since August 2023, leading the Food Safety Team and overseeing their competencies while managing critical food safety processes. Prior to this, Mateo served as a Substitute Teacher for Seattle Public Schools, taught various grades and subject areas, and held several supervisory roles at Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences, including CLIA Gen Supervisor II, where responsibilities included team performance evaluations and staff training. Other experience includes roles as Research Associate at Bristol Myers Squibb and PerkinElmer, focusing on critical testing protocols, and as Safety Manager at PPG Industries, ensuring adherence to safety standards in research and development. Mateo holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside.
