Sandra Avila-Gamio completed their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree at Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2002 to 2006, majoring in Law. Sandra then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Legal Administration at the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Sandra Avila-Gamio has obtained various certifications. Sandra completed the "Project Planning: Putting It All Together" course offered by Coursera in partnership with Google in August 2022.
