Stefan Timmermans is an accomplished technology operations professional with extensive experience in event technology management for major international sporting events. Currently serving as the Director of Event Technology for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Stefan has held key positions at FIFA since 2018, including Head of Event & Corporate Technology Operations and Senior Project Manager. Previous roles encompass leadership positions in event technology at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, London 2012, and various others, showcasing expertise in strategic planning, implementation, and operational management across multiple high-profile competitions. Stefan holds a Master's in International Management from Maastricht University and is currently pursuing executive education at INSEAD.
