Abaye Steinmetz-Silber is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in housing development and real estate management. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Fifth Avenue Committee since January 2022, Abaye previously held the role of Project Manager in housing development at GP Properties Management LLC from June 2019 to January 2022. Prior experience includes positions as Work Team Leader at Gould Farm and as a Real Estate Salesperson & Analyst at The Maestro Group, where consulting services were provided to real estate firms. Abaye's diverse background also includes theatre production roles, including a Production Intern at The Capitol Theatre and sound design work for theater productions, showcasing strong project management and creative skills. Abaye holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Wesleyan University.

(FAC) is a non-profit comprehensive community development corporation and chartered NeighborWorks America member in South Brooklyn that advances economic and social justice by building vibrant, diverse communities where residents have genuine opportunities to achieve their goals, as well as the power to shape the community’s future. Founded in 1978, FAC works to transform the lives of over 5,500 low- and moderate-income New Yorkers annually so that we can all live and work with dignity and respect while making our community more equitable, sustainable, inclusive, and just. To achieve our mission, FAC develops and manages affordable housing and community facilities, creates economic opportunities and ensures access to economic stability, organizes residents and workers, offers student-centered adult education, and combats displacement caused by gentrification.
