Collin Barrow, (ISSO)

Collin Barrow has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Collin began their career in the US NAVY as an Avionics Technician, where they repaired and maintained advanced electronic systems. After leaving the navy, Collin worked at Low Voltage Integrated Systems as a Control System programmer and Field Support Engineer, designing, installing, and programming complex control systems.

In 2005, Collin joined NASA as a Software Engineer and Unified Communications Implementation Manager. Collin was responsible for implementing audiovisual and videoconferencing facilities throughout the agency. Collin also managed remote facilities and maintained the agency's wide area network and local area network.

After working at NASA, Collin joined the Missile Defense Agency as an ICTO Architecture and Engineering - Unified Communications Manager. In this role, they oversaw the agency's unified communications system and managed its architecture and engineering projects.

Most recently, Collin worked at Fifth Gait Technologies, Inc., where they served as the Director of IT Services. Collin managed the company's IT department, ensuring information system security and overseeing the implementation of new systems, networks, and services. Collin also collaborated with company executives and stakeholders to establish best practices and ensure compliance with government regulations.

Throughout their career, Collin has demonstrated expertise in IT management, systems implementation, and unified communications.

Collin Barrow has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Eastern Florida State College from 2009 to 2010, focusing on Network Engineering. In 2000 to 2003, Collin attended Fort Lewis College, studying Media/Communications. Before their time at Fort Lewis, they earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Associate of general science from Vincennes University, where they studied from 1998 to 2000.

Collin has obtained several certifications from various institutions. Collin completed the School of Emerging Technologies course from Extron Electronics in October 2015. In March 2014, they became an Extron certified XTP Engineer, also from Extron Electronics. Additionally, Collin holds the AMX ACE EXPERT certification and the AMX Certified RMS Software Specialist certification from AMX by HARMAN. Collin is also certified as a CEDIA- LEVEL I Certified Technician from CEDIA. Collin has obtained the ClearOne Technical Specialist Certification from ClearOne and completed Crestron Programming training from Crestron Electronics. Furthermore, Collin has certifications in Extron AV Associate, Infocomm CTS, Network+ Certified from CompTIA, Polycom CVE Certified from Polycom, and Security + Certified from CompTIA.
