Tawny Giles

Tawny Giles has extensive experience in financial crimes compliance and risk management, currently serving as Vice President and Director of Program Execution and Oversight at Fifth Third Bank since October 2012. Within this role, Tawny has conducted enterprise-wide BSA/AML risk assessments, advised on AML risks related to FinTech partnerships, collaborated on financial crimes policies, and enhanced training programs. Prior positions at Fifth Third Bank include Vice President of Financial Crimes – Economic Sanctions and Customer Due Diligence Manager, where Tawny managed teams focused on compliance, due diligence processes, and regulatory adherence. Tawny's earlier experience at Target as an Executive Team Lead in Asset Protection involved investigating organized retail crime and training personnel on loss prevention techniques. Tawny holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati.
