Mary Hogan Preusse is a Senior Advisor at Fifth Wall, where she focuses on strengthening the firm’s relationships with its corporate real estate investors and with the broader real estate industry.

Mary has over thirty years of experience in real estate, investment management, leadership, and strategy. She is the lead independent director of Kimco Realty and serves on the boards of three other public companies: VEREIT, Digital Realty, and Host Hotels and Resorts. She is also a member of the board of directors of Industrious, the private flexible workspace provider.

Prior to her current work as board director and advisor, Mary served as Managing Director and Head of Americas Listed Real Estate at APG Asset Management US. Prior to joining APG in 2000, Mary spent eight years as a sell side analyst covering the REIT sector, and began her career at Merrill Lynch as an investment banking analyst. In 2015, she was the recipient of NAREIT’s E. Lawrence Miller Industry Achievement Award and currently serves on that organization’s Advisory Board of Governors.

Mary dedicates a substantial amount of time to promoting diversity on corporate boards and has a particular passion for mentoring recent college graduates and future leaders in real estate and investment management. Mary received a degree in Mathematics from Bowdoin College and has served on the College’s Board of Trustees since 2012.
