Anneke Rooth is a Senior Advisor in Public Affairs at WWF-Netherlands, a position held since October 2021. Prior to this role, Anneke served as a policy advisor on agriculture, nature, environment, and economy at GroenLinks from July 2018 to September 2021, and worked as a Training and Research Fellow at The Clingendael Institute, where responsibilities included coordinating training programs for diplomats and international relations professionals from various regions. Anneke has experience in climate diplomacy through an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during critical negotiations for the Paris Agreement in 2015, and previously contributed to forest financing initiatives as an intern at the United Nations Forum on Forests Secretariat. Anneke began a career in education as a teacher in civics and religious orientation at Novalis College. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in International Development from Wageningen University & Research and a HBO-bachelor in Education in Social Studies from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, along with additional studies at The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
