Alejandra Borda is an experienced professional in deep tech entrepreneurship and social impact. Currently serving as an Instigator at Fifty Years since May 2021, Alejandra runs 5050, a program that aids scientists and engineers in launching deep tech companies. As a Venture Fellow at the same organization, support is provided to pre-seed and seed-stage founders addressing global challenges. Previous roles include BluePrint Investor Track Fellow at Dorm Room Fund, Philanthropy Chair at Wharton Latino, and Research Assistant positions within The Wharton School, contributing to various impactful research initiatives. As Lead Impact Reviewer at Impactoria and Project Leader at PennSEM, thorough assessments and consultancy for social enterprises were conducted. In addition to managing a large-scale volunteer initiative at Enséñame Voluntariado, significant partnerships were established to enhance educational access in vulnerable Peruvian regions. Alejandra's foundational education culminated in a Bachelor of Science in Business/Managerial Economics from The Wharton School, complemented by experiences in social entrepreneurship with Ashoka and various roles in community service.
