Sagi Dalyot

Chair, Spatial Information Management at FIG - International Federation of Surveyors

Sagi Dalyot is a distinguished professional in geodata science and spatial information management with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology since March 2013 in the Environmental Crowdsourcing Lab, Sagi also holds significant positions within the International Federation of Surveyors, including Chair of Spatial Information Management and Vice Chair of Administration for FIG Commission 3, which focuses on land and property management, spatial data infrastructure, and sustainable development. Sagi co-founded and served as CTO of a Stealth Startup from November 2022 to February 2024 and previously worked at Leibniz Universität Hannover as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Earlier positions include consulting roles at Taldor and lectureships at the Technion, where Sagi contributed to the development of GIS standards and various geospatial projects. Sagi's academic credentials include a PhD, M.Sc., and B.Sc. in Geodetic Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
