Adrian Brown serves as the General Manager at Avenue, a social enterprise under Fighting Chance Australia since November 2020, leading day-to-day operations and driving growth across multiple locations for over 500 participants each week. Prior to this, Adrian held various roles at FaceUp Consulting, including Managing Director, where specialized services were provided to enhance fundraising performance for notable charities. Additional experience includes positions at Greenpeace in both Australia and the USA, managing face-to-face donor acquisition programs, and at UNICEF Australia as the Face to Face Acquisition Manager. The career trajectory began with a focus on organizational development at the 100 Percent Renewables Campaign and a foundational role at Cornucopia Consultancy. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Ecology and Botany from the University of New England in Australia.

FIGHTING CHANCE - A NEW FUTURE FOR DISABILITY. Fighting Chance builds social businesses to create a truly inclusive economy where people with disability have unbridled access to opportunity, dignity and prosperity. Founded in 2011 by Laura and Jordan O'Reilly, Fighting Chance is inspired by the experience of their brother, Shane, who was let down by a society that defined him by his disability. We identify challenges that people with disability face in their everyday lives and build sustainable businesses to bridge these gaps. We are redesigning what participation in the economy, and society, can look like so that disability is not a barrier. So far we have launched four social businesses: Jigsaw (an employment pathway which prepares people for work, through work); Avenue (a day program alternative where people with disability can join work and social activities) as well as a Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation service, and a support coordination service.
