Milan Udawatta

Milan Udawatta is a legal professional currently serving as Managing Counsel for Commercial at Figma since June 2021 and as a DeputyGC Member at TechGC since November 2021. Previously, Udawatta worked as a Corporate Associate at Debevoise & Plimpton from September 2017 to May 2021. In academia, Udawatta held the position of President of the Student Senate at Columbia Law School between August 2016 and May 2017, and gained practical experience as a Law Intern in the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York through the United States Attorney's Office during 2016 and 2015, respectively. Additionally, Udawatta completed a Summer Associate role at Debevoise & Plimpton in 2016. Udawatta earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Columbia Law School and holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with dual degrees in Biology and Political Science from Emory University.
