Jennifer Christian is the founder and lead guide of Maze-Masters, a pioneering effort in the field of "information therapy." Maze-Masters takes referrals from insurers, employers and healthcare providers and is designed for those who have not been helped by traditional healthcare methods.
The program is aimed at those who feel stuck in the healthcare, workers compensation or disability benefits systems. It tackles normal human issues that are generally not addressed in today's "systems"--such as health illiteracy, false beliefs, fear, anger, lack of confidence or skill at coping with difficulties, self-soothing for pain, stress, and self-care for chronic conditions--that are often the root cause of failed recovery and prolonged life disruption following illness or injury.
Maze-Masters guides serve as tutors and coaches, listening to and educating clients, assigning projects and providing structure, resources, and encouragement. The program is delivered via telephone and the internet over a period of months to a year or more. Those who successfully complete Maze-Masters are more able to manage their symptoms independently and usually decide to reduce dependence on drugs and medical care, and resume full participation in life, including work.
Jennifer Christian's educational career includes receiving an MD and MPH from the University of Washington - School of Medicine, as well as an AB in Dance and Biology from Sarah Lawrence College. Jennifer also attended BCC for their education.
