Hao Wu has an extensive work experience in various fields. From 2023, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer for Robot Perception at Figure. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2023, they served as the Director of General Tracking at TuSimple. Before that, they worked at Cruise from 2018 to 2021, holding positions as a Staff Software Engineer and a Senior Software Engineer in Perception-related roles.
Hao Wu's career began in 2011 when they worked as a Research Assistant at Purdue University. Hao also served as a Research Assistant at Flow Physics and Computational Engineering Group, Stanford University, from 2011 to 2012. From 2013 to 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant and also as a Teaching Assistant at the same institution, where they contributed to scientific computation, developed algorithms for multi-physics turbulent flows, and published multiple peer-reviewed papers.
Hao Wu has a strong educational background with a focus on engineering and computational disciplines. Hao obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Flow Physics & Computational Engineering and Computational & Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University, completing this program from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, Hao Wu pursued their undergraduate studies at Purdue University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with Distinction in Mechanical Engineering. Hao also completed their first Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they hold a High School Diploma from Shanghai High School.
