Matthew G. has extensive experience in data engineering and software development, currently serving as Lead Data Engineer and Head of Data Science at Figure Eight since 2011. Prior roles include Research Software Applications Developer at MIT Media Lab, and Artificial Intelligence Developer at Virsona Inc., where Matthew created conversational algorithms and interfaces for user interaction. An early career included a Software Engineering Internship at Apple Inc., where a testing automation tool for Mac OS X was developed, as well as positions as a Research Assistant at both the Personal Robots Group and the Computational Cognitive Science Group at MIT, focusing on social robotics and machine learning techniques.
