Vilive Anise has a diverse work experience in the civil engineering field. They started as a Technician at Fiji Electricity Authority in 2009, providing technical support to Civil Engineers on various projects. They then worked as a Civil Engineering Technician at Fiji Electricity Authority on the Wainisavulevu Weir Raising Project. In 2012, they joined Water Authority of Fiji as a Graduate Civil Engineer, managing material procurement issues and involved in estimating and construction supervision for projects. In 2014, they continued their role as a Graduate Civil Engineer at MWH Global, working on civil engineering projects in Fiji. They also held various roles at MWH, now part of Stantec, including Clerk of Works and Project Engineer. In 2018, they completed their Masters of Engineering Science in Structural Engineering at the University of Southern Queensland. Most recently, Vilive Anise worked as a Civil Engineer at Stantec before becoming the Head of Technical Support at Fiji Roads Authority in 2022.

Vilive Anise completed a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Fiji National University from 2007 to 2009. Vilive then pursued an Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering from Fiji National University from 2011 to 2012. Afterwards, they attended Fiji National University from 2012 to 2014 and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. In 2018, Vilive Anise enrolled at the University of Southern Queensland and completed a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from 2018 to 2019. In 2023, they received training from the Asia Development Bank - Pacific Sub Regional Office in the field of Infrastructure Projects focusing on the use of FIDIC Contract Red Book (edition 2017) and ADB Conditions of Particular Conditions.
