Miriam Aitken

Miriam Aitken is a research professional with extensive experience in conflict analysis and early-warning systems, currently serving as a Research Associate at the Fiker Institute. Previously, Aitken worked as an Early-Warning and Research Consultant for the International Crisis Group, where contributions included tracking conflict developments in the Middle East and Horn of Africa and streamlining workflows for early-warning briefings. Aitken's qualifications include an MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford, an MA in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po, and a BA in International Relations from King's College London. Additionally, Aitken has held various leadership roles in the European Youth Parliament Switzerland and has experience in political risk analysis.
