Rachel Bleemer

Rachel Bleemer is the current Director of Events at Film Independent. Rachel has over seven years of experience in the film festival industry, including five years as the Director of Corporate Sponsorship at Miami Film Festival. In this role, they were responsible for securing funding to sustain the Festival’s vitality, meeting fundraising goals and exceeding $1.7 million per fiscal year. Rachel was also the point person for relationships with hundreds of sponsors, overseeing the Festival’s year-round marketing and communication channels, and creating and executing the Festival’s social events. Prior to their work at Miami Film Festival, Rachel was a Marketing Coordinator at Film Independent. Rachel has a passion for film and for supporting independent filmmakers.

Rachel Bleemer has a Bachelor's degree in Advertising from Barry University.

They are on a team with Maria Raquel Bozzi - Senior Director, Education & International Initiatives, Patty Davis - Executive & Board Relations Manager, and Alix Madigan-Yorkin - Vice President. Rachel Bleemer reports to Josh Welsh, President.
