Courtney Saladino Gurney has worked in various leadership roles in the entertainment industry. Courtney served as the Vice President of Television at FilmNation Entertainment, where they were responsible for identifying new material, sourcing projects, and discovering new writing and directing talent. Courtney also oversaw all phases of development, production, and post-production on series under their purview. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Original Programming at Marvel Entertainment, where they oversaw on-air programming, provided creative notes on story pitches and scripts, and managed series in development. Courtney also held the position of Head of Film and Television at Junction Entertainment, where they oversaw feature film and television deals, sourced targeted intellectual property, and served as a liaison between network executives, showrunners, and writers. In addition to their leadership roles, Courtney began their career as an Executive Assistant to Jonathan Littman at Jerry Bruckheimer Television.

Courtney Saladino Gurney completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature from UCLA, where they studied from 2004 to 2006. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Chicago from 2007 to 2008.
