Milan Salek

Milan Salek is an experienced RF/mmW Engineer currently working at Filtronic since April 2024, focusing on the design and development of RF/mmW sub-modules and systems for telecommunications and defence products. With a strong academic background, Milan has served as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham from August 2019 to November 2024, developing microwave and terahertz components, while also holding multiple research fellowships where the focus included lab-on-chip devices and metrology-grade millimetre-wave power sensors. Previous experience includes a role as an RF Microwave Engineer at QinetiQ, where the design of microwave sub-assemblies was key, as well as a tenure with the Royal Navy. Milan holds a PhD in Microwave Engineering from the University of Birmingham, along with a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Aston University, complemented by an Engineering Foundation and NVQ qualifications in Accounting and Business/Management.
