François Guay, Ph.D., is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in model risk management and validation. Currently serving as Vice President at BNP Paribas, François oversees independent reviews of complex models in compliance with regulatory standards. François has also contributed to educational endeavors as a lecturer at HEC Montréal and has held mentorship roles at Fin-ML. Previous roles include advisory positions in integrated risk management at Laurentian Bank and associational work in litigation cases at Cornerstone Research. François holds a Ph.D. in Financial Econometrics from Boston University and additional degrees in Applied Mathematics and Industrial and Mechanical Engineering.

The Fin-ML network aims to become a Canadian reference for acquiring specialized skills in the field of innovative machine learning technology in quantitative finance and financial business analytics. Our diversified team is composed of researchers, students and professionals with an internationally recognized scientific expertise covering a wide spectrum of fields at the crossroads of mathematics, computer science, artificial intelligence, business analytics and quantitative finance applications.
